Bill Vickery Bill Vickery spent his youth in
the quiet community of Van Buren, Arkansas. The son of a
Southern Baptist, Democrat, County Sheriff, Bill first made a
name for himself on the gridiron as an overachieving high school
quarterback earning All Conference honors. After high school,
Bill received his degree of higher learning at Hendrix College
in Conway, Arkansas. It was there that Bill showed a complete
disregard for his upbringing and became not only a Methodist…but
a Republican Methodist. His father has never forgiven him.
Beginning in 1996 with his
successful management of Tim Hutchinson’s U.S. Senate campaign
in Arkansas, Bill has managed campaigns in New Mexico, Texas,
Florida, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
With the election of President
George W. Bush in 2000, Bill formed a partnership with an
Austin, Texas based lobbying firm and began representing clients
before the White House. Bill’s clients have included Former
Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, former Pakistani Prime
Minister Benazar Bhutto, as well as the nation of Bulgaria.
Bill was a frequent guest on the
formally nationally syndicated radio program “Imus in the
Morning,” as well as appearing regularly on MSNBC, Fox News,
CNN’s Inside Politics, and the NBC Evening News. In addition to
hearing Bill’s insightful commentary every Sunday morning on the
Buzz you may see him (though he really should avoid cameras)
Wednesday mornings on KARK Today’s Wednesday Wake-Up Call.
